# Setter cost calculator

Compare what a $3,500-a-month human setter costs against a flat Luca plan. Your numbers, simple subtraction. No projected booking rates, no assumed close rates, no invented industry averages.

## The arithmetic

Monthly saving = what you pay your setter each month, minus the flat Luca plan that matches your lead volume.

Yearly saving = that difference multiplied by twelve.

The calculator takes two inputs and does nothing else to them. If you do not pay a setter today, use what you were quoted, or what the work costs you in your own hours.

## What a setter costs that the invoice does not show

- Hiring and replacing. Posting, screening, trialling, and the clock resetting every time one leaves.
- Training on your offer. Weeks before they answer a price question the way you would.
- Managing the work. Check-ins, script reviews, reading back what got sent.
- The hours nobody covers. Nights, weekends, and the gap between a lead asking the price and anyone answering.

## Questions

### What does a human DM setter cost?

Most coaches pay a base retainer plus commission per booked call or closed deal, and the all-in monthly number varies widely with volume and experience. The calculator uses your own number, whatever you pay or were quoted, because that is the only figure that changes your math.

### What numbers does the calculator use?

Only two: what you pay a setter each month, and the flat Luca plan that matches your lead volume. It subtracts one from the other and multiplies by twelve. No projected booking rates, no assumed close rates, no invented industry averages.

### Is Luca's price flat?

Yes. Plans are a flat monthly fee by lead volume: no commission, no per-booking fees, nothing billed silently. If you approach your plan's limit, Luca warns you first; add a $29 top-up pack for 1,000 more messages or switch plans.

### What counts as a conversation on my plan?

A unique lead Luca drafts a reply for in a calendar month. Ten messages back and forth with the same person is one conversation, not ten, so a chatty lead never quietly eats your plan.

### What does Luca replace, and what does it not?

Luca replaces setter labor: reading inbound DMs, qualifying leads, drafting replies in your voice, following up with ghosted leads, and booking calls. It doesn't replace you on the sales call, and it doesn't send anything without your approval unless you turn auto-send on.

### Can I run Luca alongside my current setter?

Yes, many coaches start that way. Luca handles the volume and the overnight replies while your setter handles the high-touch closes. Run both for a month and compare the cost per booked call yourself.

### Does the saving hold if my lead volume jumps?

The plan price steps up with volume, and a setter's commission climbs with it too. Move the numbers in the calculator to the month you're planning for and the comparison holds at that level.

### What if I don't pay a setter today?

Then put in what you were quoted, or what the work would cost you in your own hours. The point of the number is what answering your DMs costs somebody, and right now that somebody is you.
